Abstract

Adrenalectomy (2) has been performed as ablative endocrine therapy for advanced breast cancer and prostatic cancer patients (1,4,6). We attempted safe and quick cryosurgical ablation of the adrenal glands in animal experiments. Summarized results on histopathological and functional changes of the adrenal glands after cryosurgery by Tanaka et al. (5,7) are presented in this chapter.
