Abstract
Several years of extensive experience in the use of cryosurgery in advanced stages of liver cancer have demonstrated the possibilities and limitations of this method. Gentle conventional and minimally invasive (laparoscopic) cryosurgical procedures with the latest, highly efficient cryosurgical devices can be used on operable and inoperable liver tumors with a curative intent. Above all, the great efficiency, the uncomplicated surgical results, the high cure rate, the short period of hospitalization, and the patient’s improved quality of life, all contribute to the fact taht patients’ with operable and inoperable liver carcinoma and metastases experience a huge improvement in a relatively short time.
