Es wird empfohlen, das gesamte, in den hundert Jahren synoptischer Forschung und Praxis gewonnene Wissensgut zu lehren und weiter-zupflegen, da dies für die meisten der praktisch tätigen Synoptiker unentbehrlich ist. Theoretische Modellergebnisse sollen empirisch gründlich geprüft werden, bevor man sie in die Alltagspraxis einführt.

The author recommends to continue to maintain and to teach the whole of knowledge gathered in a hundred years of synoptic research and practice, as this would be indispensable for most of the synopticians in routine work. Theoretical models should be tested empirically before using them in practice.

Résumé

On recommande d’enseigner et de retenir à l’avenir la totalité du savoir recueilli au cours des cent dernières années tant par la pratique que par la recherche en météorologie synoptique. En effet, ces connaissances sont absolument indispensables à la plupart des synopticiens engagés dans la pratique. Les enseignements tirés de modèles théoriques devraient être examinés empiriquement jusque dans leurs détails avant d’être introduits dans la pratique journalière.
