Zusammenfassung

Eine Untersuchung der räumlichen Verteilung und der Stoffwechseldynamik der Nukleinsäuren innerhalb bestimmter Gewebs- und Zeltbezirke ist nur mit Hilfe histochemischer Methoden möglich. Diese erlauben es darüber hinaus, die Zelle als selbständige Einheit und als Individuum zu behandeln. Gerade das Studium der zeitlichen und räumlichen Veränderungen der Nukleinsäuren mit histochemischen Nachweismethoden führte zu den ersten Erkenntnissen über einen Zusammenhang zwischen der RNS und der Zellaktivität bzw. der Proteinsynthese (vgl. Caspersson 1950, Brachet 1952).
