Abstract
Detailed description of the apparatus used for performing chemical operations on solutions in capillary cones inside a moist chamber has been given in the first part, p. 92. Two basic microscope-manipulator assemblies for such type of work have been described. One of them, Fig. 63, used by El-Badry and Wilson (90), is described in great detail with special reference to qualitative, p. 94, semi-quantitative, p. 119, and gravimetric, p. 119, analysis. The other assembly, Fig. 80, used by Benedetti-Pichler and co-workers has been described briefly, p. 112, mainly with reference to the more fundamental points of difference between the two assemblies.
