Zusammenfassung
Es ist anzunehmen, daß eine Vielzahl der Steine, Erden und Industrieminerale auch in der Zukunft weltweit in steigendem Ausmaß verarbeitet werden. Dieser Trend ergibt sich einerseits aus der zunehmenden Substitution anderer Grund- bzw. Werkstoffe, insbesondere der Metalle, und anderseits aus der Entwicklung neuer bzw. verbesserter Verfahren und Produkte. Darüber hinaus stellen die meisten Steine, Erden und Industrieminerale relativ billige Massenrohstoffe dar, für die auch in absehbarer Zeit kaum ein Preisanstieg zu erwarten ist. Dabei dürften nur die Seiten-Erden-, Bor-, Jod-und Nitratrohstoffe sowie die Blockglimmer eine Ausnahme bilden.
