Zusammenfassung

Das Skelettsystem kann bei Erkrankungen des zentralen (ZNS) und peripheren (PNS) Nervensystems betroffen sein. Während vor Vollendung der Wachstumsperiode chronische Denervation durch Wirbelsäulenveränderungen, Klauenhand und Hohlfuß gekennzeichnet ist, sind die Auswirkungen von neurologischen Krankheitsbildern im Erwachsenenalter vielfältiger und von den jeweiligen Krankheitsprozessen abhängig. Im Erwachsenenalter kommen Veränderungen der Knochen und Gelenke bei Krankheiten des Gehirns, des Rückenmarks, der Nervenwurzeln, der peripheren Nerven und der Muskulatur vor. Osteoporosen, pathologische Knochenbrüche, Synostosierungen, Gelenksdeformationen und pathologische Verkalkungen sind je nach Krankheitsbild unterschiedlich ausgeprägt.
