Zusammenfassung

Angst kann auftreten als Zustandsangst („state anxiety“) oder als Ängstlichkeit im Sinne einer relativ stabilen Bewertungs- und Verhaltensdisposition, d.h. als Persönlichkeitsmerkmal („trait anxiety“). Die Zustandsangst ist charakterisiert durch momentane Gefühle der Besorgnis und Spannung, begleitet von einer Erregung des autonomen Nervensystems. Ängstlichkeit wird dagegen als situationsunabhängige, persönlichkeitsspezifische Verhaltensbereitschaft verstanden, viele Situationen als bedrohlich zu erleben und dabei mit einer Zustandsangst zu reagieren.
