Zusammenfassung
In Abschnitt II, 5 ergab sich der senkrechte Verdichtungsstoß aus den Integralgleichungen der Bewegung als Sprung in der Geschwindigkeit und im thermischen Zustand. Ein Sprung in der Temperatur würde aber bei noch so kleinem Leitvermögen des Gases wegen des unendlichen Temperaturgradienten einen unendlichen Wärmestrom ergeben, womit sich ein Temperatursprung als unmöglich erweist. Aus dieser Größe des Wärmestroms hat zuerst L. Prandtl 1 die Tiefe der Stoßfront abgeschätzt. Eine Berechnung des Zustandsverlaufes im Stoß muß Allerdings auch die innere Reibung berücksichtigen. Die Behandlungen können auf den senkrechten, stationären Stoß beschränkt werden. Dann hängen alle Größen nur von einer Koordinate, der x-Richtung ab. Zweckmäßigerweise wird gleich von den Integralgleichungen ausgegangen, weil man sich damit eine Integration erspart.
