Zusammenfassung
Die Schizophrenie ist, ebenso wie die manisch-depressive Krankheit, eine endogene Psychose, die mit Denk- und Affektstörungen, Halluzinationen, Kontaktarmut und anderen Symptomen einhergeht und verschiedene Verlaufs- und Erkrankungsformen (Hebephrenie, Schizophrenia simplex, Katatonie, paranoide und paranoid-halluzinatorische Schizophrenie) aufweisen kann. Neben der Pharmakotherapie spielen auch andere (psycho- und soziotherapeutische) Behandlungsmethoden eine wichtige Rolle.
