Abstract

A detailed study of the problem of wave propagation in micropolar media is not simple owing to the character of the wave equations (2. 13), (2.15) describing the phenomenon. An interesting analysis of a problem of this type was discussed in paper [18] by C. Rymarz in 1967; it concerned the propagation of surface waves known in classical elasticity as Rayleigh waves.
