Abstract
A 34-year-old patient had a history of breast augmentation for cosmetic reasons with the implants (375 cc round high implants, MentorR) in the submuscular pocket. Through self-examination, she found a mass in the upper quadrant in the 12 o’clock position in the left breast (Fig. 55.1a, b). Core needle biopsy found an invasive ductal cancer (receptor positive, Her-2-neu negative, G2, Ki67: 10 %). There were no suspicious axillary lymph nodes; preoperative staging revealed no metastatic disease.
