Zusammenfassung

Der Symptomenkomplex des akuten Abdomens erfordert wegen seiner potenziell lebensbedrohlichen Ursachen eine frühzeitige und v. a. unmittelbare Diagnostik. Prinzipiell existieren zwei verschiedene Ansätze zum Einsatz apparativer Untersuchungsmethoden bei einer abdominellen Akutsymptomatik: ein Stufendiagnostikschema, welches aus Anamnese, Symptomanalyse und körperlicher Untersuchung sowie Labordiagnostik besteht, und der generelle Einsatz aufwendiger Untersuchungsmethoden wie etwa der Computertomographie, der Magnetresonanztomographie bis hin zur diagnostischen Laparoskopie.
