Zusammenfassung
Schwindel bei Kindern tritt seltener als bei Erwachsenen auf. Diese Tendenz wird auch durch die Häufigkeit eines Arztbesuches bestätigt. Bei Erwachsenen geben nahezu 25 % Schwindelbeschwerden an, bei Kindern und Jugendlichen dagegen nur ca. 5 – 8 %. Etwa ein Viertel dieser Kinder sind in ihren täglichen Aktivitäten beeinträchtigt. Die Prävalenz von Schwindelbeschwerden im Schulalter beträgt 15 % [15], [28], [35].
