Summary

Geography, people and witchcraft of the Seychelles are described briefly. A list of locally used medicinal herbs has been prepared; local name, English name, botanical and family name are given, preparation, use and agegroup for which used are described. Some comments about our own experiences, beneficial as well as harmful, are added. Finally, some other, non-herbal local medicines are mentioned.

Es folgen eine Liste der lokalen Heilkräuter, geordnet nach dem lokalen Namen, dem englischen, dem botanischen und dem der botanischen Familie, sowie der Zubereitung, dem Gebrauch und der Alterzielgruppen, sowie Beobachtungen zur Verträglichkeit.

Il rapporte une liste de plantes médicinales en indiquant pour chacune: noms vernaculaire, nom anglais, nom botanique, famille botanique, préparation, emploi et áge du patient pour l’application. Il fait également quelques observations sur l’action des remèdes.
