Zusammenfassung
Internet-Nutzer geben Webseiten nur wenige Sekunden Zeit. Finden sie in dieser kurzen Zeitspanne nicht, was sie suchen, sind sie als Kunden zunächst verloren — im Web ist die Konkurrenz nur einen Klick weit entfernt. In einer Studie des Instituts für Kommunikation der Fachhochschule Düsseldorf und der Agentur BBDO wurden 100 Probanden bei der Nutzung von 25 Webseiten beobachtet. Bei 50 Probanden wurden Blickbewegungen mit apparativem Eye-Tracking, bei 50 Probanden die Screenaktivitäten gemessen. Es zeigte sich, dass Internet-Nutzer „hektische Online-Zapper“ (Vogt, 2002) sind. Sie betrachten 1–4 Webseiten, und verlassen eine Site häufig, bevor sie die gesuchten Informationen gefunden haben.
