Die Evaluation des ifu-Studienprogramms

Zusammenfassung

Die Internationale Frauenuniversität konzentrierte sich auf Frauen als Akteurinnen und war organisatorisch ein Hochschulprojekt, für das es in Deutschland, vielleicht in der ganzen Welt, kein Vorbild gibt. Die ifu kreierte somit einen „Dritten Ort“ (vgl. dazu auch Neusel), in dem kulturelle Differenzen von Teilnehmerinnen willkommen und eine Auseinandersetzung darüber programmatisch erwünscht war.¹ Ihre übergeordneten Zielsetzungen waren Frauenförderung, Wissenschaftskritik und Hochschulreform.

„The most important thing is that the idea of ifu is a wonderful thing. To me. Women coming together, talking about themselves freely. And actually the idea of bringing women together is — because almost all the universities are coeducational and there are some issues that you will find very difficult to discuss. And 1 wish to see a proper women’s university. That we have this fantasy: You apply, you come to university, and you are coming to a women’s university. Maybe a master level, postgraduate level. Maybe for one and a half years. Something like that. Women from all over the world, internationally. I think that would be a good idea“ (TAI, S. 10).
