Abstract
The electron beam method was proposed 1967 by E.D.Donets [149]. It was the basis of a new ion source, which received in the subsequent time the designation EBIS (Electron Beam Ion Source), and was conceived originally as source of highly charged ions for high energy ion accelerators.
