Zusammenfassung
Bevölkerungswissenschaft ist die empirische Analyse und akademische Lehre von Bevölkerungen, von ihren Strukturen und Veränderungen sowie von deren Ursachen und Folgen. Wie Bevölkerungen zu definieren sind, beschreibt die altehrwürdige Lehre von den Modellen der Demographie. Dieses Verständnis ist seit Jahrzehnten weltweit unstrittig1.
