Zusammenfassung

Ich betonte schon, daß die Literatur und ihre Geschichte in der ehemaligen DDR nicht losgelöst von kulturpolitisch-theoretischen Handhabungen des Staates bzw. der Partei der SED beschrieben werden kann. Dies gilt auch für die Trivialliteratur. Wenn wir im folgenden die theoretische Auseinandersetzung innerhalb der DDR mit der eigenen Trivialliteratur betrachten, dann muß zum besseren Verständnis auf einige schon kurz erwähnte Besonderheiten hingewiesen werden.

Indem sie auf die Könner-Äußerungen eingeht, erwähnt sie, daß die Literatur einen Schaden davon hat, “wenn man sie nicht als Literatur, sonder als Demonstrationsobjekt politischer Problematik, als Illustration aktueller, ökonomischer, politischer oder moralischer Fragen als Bildanhang zur Weltgeschichte [...] betrachtet”
