Abstract

By enforcing the One-Piece-Flow and the desire to be able to produce without errors, it is necessary to make the manufacturing processes more reliable and to reduce errors. The aim of the Poka-Yoke method is especially in assembly, to prevent errors through an appropriate process design. The method follows the principle of error source prevention—since no errors can occur without an error source. The following chapter will introduce the Poka Yoke method and illustrate it with a practical example.
