Abstract
5S stands for Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke and describes a tool of Lean Management for systematically uncovering waste. The term 5S is usually associated with a tidy and organized workplace, as well as ensuring that this state is maintained. The following chapter introduces the 5S method and, in a practical example, the efficiency of 5S is illustrated through a clamp block model.
