Zu den Business Drivers für die Entwicklung datengesteuerter Unternehmen gehören Analytics, Data Science und Big Data. Um die Vorteile von Big Data zu nutzen, muss sich die Art und Weise des Data Managements ändern. Das Datenvolumen und die Geschwindigkeit schaffen Herausforderungen, die verschiedene Ansätze für die Verwaltung kritischer Aspekte des Data Managements erfordern, wie z. B. Integration, Metadatenverwaltung und Datenqualitätsbewertung.
