Abstract

In the spring of 2016, I went to Berlin to conduct my fieldwork research. I decided to start my research in this city because an ʿAlawi friend who lived there during that time told me he could put me into contact with a number of ʿAlawis living in Berlin, which was a great opportunity. One of the first ʿAlawis I met there was the chairwoman of ʿAlawi association in Berlin.
