Das Gebiet der Produktplanung ist weit gefasst; ein erheblicher Teil der Tätigkeiten liegt außerhalb der Verantwortung des Produktentwicklungsbereichs. Deshalb wird an dieser Stelle nur eine grobe Einführung gegeben. Für nähere Infos wird auf die weiterführende Literatur verwiesen.
