Abstract
Descriptive statistics are concerned with the investigation of a sample that is usually limited in size. A key benefit is that these investigations allow us to draw conclusions about the population as a whole. For example, based on data alone, we can conclude with some confidence that a human being cannot grow to a height of three meters.
