Neben der dezidierten Erläuterung von ossären und ligamentären Verletzungen der anatomischen Strukturen des kraniozervikalen Übergangs wird in diesem Kapitel auf die AO-Klassifikation von Verletzungen der subaxialen Halswirbelsäule jeweils anhand von klinischen Beispielen eingegangen.
