Abstract
In this chapter, we describe how theories and observations can lead to a consistent picture for the characteristic parameters of a world model and thereby support the described Big Bang scenario. We start with the “oldest” argument for the correctness of Big Bang world models, which is based on a prediction for the nucleosynthesis. Figure 11.1 refers back to Fig. 10.14 and shows further possibilities for verifying a Big Bang world model, which will be presented in the following chapters:
-
SNe (“Supernovae Surveys” based on a supernova redshift-brightness relationship),
-
CMB (Analysis of the cosmic microwave background radiation),
-
BAO (Structure analysis with baryon acoustic oscillations as “Galaxy Surveys”), which, however, will only be discussed at the very end in Chap. 15.
