Abstract
Augmentation mastopexy is the combination of breast lift and insertion of additional volume. The aim is an improvement in shape, volume augmentation, and simultaneous tightening of the breast skin. Strictly speaking, volume augmentation and tightening are two procedures that do not go together. Volume augmentation stretches the skin envelope, and tightening reduces it. Therefore, both components of the operation must be well planned and executed.
