Abstract
Own tissue, or autologous tissue, is the best and most sustainable form of reconstruction. The tissue is warm, soft and also corresponds to the feel of the removed tissue. An autologous tissue reconstruction also changes naturally during the aging process. For example, it “sags” with gravity or increases or decreases depending on the overall physical constitution.
