Zusammenfassung
„7-Tage-Inzidenz“, „effektive Reproduktionszahl“, „Prävalenz“, „Übersterblichkeit“, „Impfstoffwirksamkeit“ - die am Ende des Jahres 2019 von China ausgegangene globale Corona-Pandemie verlangte von der Öffentlichkeit, wie vielleicht nie zuvor, rasch die Akzeptanz und das Verständnis zahlreicher statistischer Konzepte. Dies gelang nicht immer friktions- und widerspruchsfrei und die Klärung dieser, für faktenbasierte Entscheidungen so wichtigen Begriffe in diesem Abschlusskapitel ist gleichzeitig eine Gelegenheit für einen zusammenfassenden Rückblick auf die Inhalte der vorangegangenen Kapitel.
