Zusammenfassung

Traumata sind einmalige individuelle Ereignisse oder andauernde Zustände, bei denen die Fähigkeit des Einzelnen, sein emotionales Erleben zu integrieren, überwältigt wird und die individuellen Erfahrungen (entweder objektiv oder subjektiv) eine Bedrohung für das eigene Leben, die körperliche Unversehrtheit oder die einer Betreuungsperson oder der Familie darstellen (Saakvitne et al., 2000). Nach DSM-5 umfassen traumatische Erfahrungen in der Kindheit das Erleben des tatsächlichen oder drohenden Todes, einer schweren Verletzung oder sexueller Gewalt auf eine oder mehrere der folgenden Arten: direktes Erleben von traumatischen Ereignissen, persönliches Miterleben oder die Kenntnis von traumatischen Ereignissen bei anderen, insbesondere bei primären Bezugspersonen, das Erleben eines Ereignisses oder anhaltender Bedingungen, die (entweder objektiv oder subjektiv) eine Bedrohung für das eigene Leben, die körperliche Unversehrtheit oder die einer Bezugsperson oder Familie darstellen.
