Zusammenfassung
Kapitel 2 befasst sich mit dem gruppenbasierten Ansatz des LiFE-Programms. LiFE wurde ursprünglich als individuelles Format mit einer Eins-zu-eins-Betreuung konzipiert. Da die Verbreitung jedoch aufgrund der intensiven zeitlichen Vermittlung in Form von Hausbesuchen in Deutschland flächendeckend nicht möglich ist, wurde ein kostengünstigeres gruppenbasiertes LiFE-Programm (gLiFE) entwickelt. Der Entwicklungsprozess von gLiFE orientierte sich dabei an dem bereits bestehenden originalen LiFE-Konzept. Um das im Gruppensetting geringere Trainerin-Teilnehmenden-Verhältnis zu kompensieren, wurden Theorien und Methoden zum Gruppenlernen angewandt, einschließlich Empfehlungen zur Gruppengröße, Organisationsformen und Struktur. Die Vermittlung von gLiFE beruht auf der „Social Learning Theory“. Andere Teilnehmende dienen als Leitfiguren und Gruppenübungen und -diskussionen werden eingesetzt, um den Zusammenhalt der Gruppe zu stärken und die Motivation der Teilnehmenden aufrechtzuerhalten.
