Abstract

We use average values to analyze how people and objects behave in general, e.g. how much meat cheeseburgers contain on average. For this purpose we have different average values at our disposal: the arithmetic mean, the median, the mode and the geometric mean. These values are also called measures of central tendency. We’ll look at them and their application in a moment.
