Zusammenfassung
In den vergangenen Jahrzehnten wird ein einseitig defizitorientiertes Modell psychotherapeutischer Tätigkeit zunehmend kritisiert. Die pointiert vorgetragene Alternative lautet Ressourcenorientierung. Neben dem allgemeinen Ziel des Ressourcenaufbaus wird spätestens seit den 1980er Jahren der Aktivierung der Ressourcen von Patient*innen in den unterschiedlichen Anwendungsfeldern der Psychologie eine zentrale Bedeutung zugesprochen. Dies gilt nicht nur in der Psychotherapie, sondern ganz allgemein in unterschiedlichen psychologischen Beratungsfeldern sowie in der Prävention, der Bewältigungsforschung und in der Gesundheitspsychologie.
