Zusammenfassung
Wirbelfrakturen kommen aufgrund der hohen Elastizität der kindlichen Wirbelsäule im Kindes- und Jugendalter deutlich seltener vor als bei Erwachsenen. Die gezielte Anamnese und Wahl der richtigen Bildgebung ist bei der Diagnostik daher von hoher Relevanz. Die Mehrzahl der Frakturen kann konservativ behandelt werden, bei einer Instabilität oder Einengung des Myelons ist jedoch wie auch beim Erwachsenen eine operative Stabilisierung notwendig.
