Zusammenfassung
Das IT-Management lässt sich in strategisches und operatives IT-Management unterteilen. Der Planungshorizont des strategischen IT-Managements ist langfristig ausgerichtet. Verantwortlich für das strategische IT-Management ist der oberste IT-Entscheider, meist der Chief Information Officer (CIO), in Zusammenarbeit mit der Unternehmensführung. Weitere C-Level Rollen treten jedoch durch die schnelle Entwicklung der Digitalisierung zu Tage ► Abschn. 5.1. Das operative IT-Management ist dagegen kurz- bis mittelfristig angelegt und dient zur Umsetzung der im Rahmen des strategischen IT-Managements entwickelten Planungen und Vorgaben, um damit das laufende Geschäft im Unternehmen zu unterstützen.
