Zusammenfassung

Eine extrauterine Schwangerschaft (EUG) kann zu einem lebensbedrohlichen Notfall führen. Daher wird häufig ein rasches operatives Vorgehen bevorzugt. Aber auch ein abwartendes oder medikamentöses Vorgehen kann unter engmaschiger Kontrolle eine sichere Alternative sein und den Patientinnen in bestimmten Fällen angeboten werden. Ein Großteil der frühen EUG mit niedrigen hCG-Werten geht spontan zugrunde. Die medikamentöse Methode wird mit einer ein- oder mehrmaligen Gabe von Methotrexat (MTX) durchgeführt.
