Zusammenfassung

Der prothetische Gelenkersatz des Ellenbogengelenks bei nichtrekonstruierbaren Frakturen des distalen Humerus stellt allen voran bei geriatrischen Patienten eine sinnvolle Therapieoption dar. Insbesondere bei mehrfragmentären koronaren Abscherverletzungen (B3-Frakturen) kann dabei statt einer Totalendoprothese die Implantation einer Hemiprothese erwogen werden. Hierfür ist jedoch elementar, dass die Artikulation der proximalen Ulna und des proximalen Radius erhalten ist und eine suffiziente ligamentäre Gelenkführung mit intaktem Kollateralbandapparat vorliegt. Das nachfolgende Kapitel gibt einen Überblick über Indikation, präoperative Planung, chirurgische Technik, postoperatives Management, Ergebnisse und Komplikationen der hemiprothetischen Versorgung von distalen Humerusfrakturen.
