Zusammenfassung
Der Radiuskopf ist ein wichtiger Stabilisator des Ellenbogens. Er trägt die Hauptlast der axialen Belastung. Im Zusammenspiel mit dem medialen Kollateralbandkomplex (MCL) ist er außerdem ein wichtiger sekundärer Stabilisator gegen Valgusstress. Indem er den lateralen Kollateralbandkomplex (LCL) vorspannt, wird ihm auch eine wesentliche Rolle bei der posterolateralen Stabilisierung des Ellenbogengelenks zugeschrieben. Um das Gelenk im Frakturfall nicht zusätzlich zu destabilisieren, müssen Bandverletzungen im Rahmen der Frakturversorgung ebenfalls adressiert werden. Winkelstabile Low-profile-Implantate und Fadenanker bieten auch für komplexe Situationen Lösungsmöglichkeiten. Die Rekonstruktion des nativen Radiuskopfes sollte das primäre Ziel sein, da dieser in Bezug auf seine anatomischen und biomechanischen Eigenschaften den bisher verfügbaren Radiuskopfprothesen überlegen ist. Für ausgesuchte Fälle besteht die Option der arthroskopischen Frakturversorgung.
