Zusammenfassung
Mit der 2011 ausgeschriebenen Forschungscampus-Initiative fördert das BMBF gezielt die multilaterale Gemeinschaftsforschung, also kollaborative F&E, die Partner aus Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft unternehmens- und organisationsübergreifend zusammenbringt. In Stuttgart wurde dies in der ARENA2036 in Form einer Forschungsfabrik realisiert: Es wurde also eine Forschungs- und Arbeitsumgebung geschaffen, in der praxisnah und interdisziplinär zukünftige Produktionsweisen, Methoden der Produktentwicklung sowie die Arbeitswelt und der Qualifikationsbedarf in bzw. für eine Industrie 4.0 erforscht werden können.
