Zusammenfassung

Die 2018 in der ESC-Leitlinie zu den Herzerkrankungen in der Schwangerschaft publizierten Inhalte und Empfehlungen werden durch die neuere Literatur unterstützt, sodass die Verbreitung des Wissens zu einem festen Bestandteil der kardiologischen Fachausbildung gehören sollte. Expertenmeinungen stehen im Vordergrund zusammen mit Erkenntnissen aus klinischen Beobachtungsstudien und Registerdaten bei wenigen randomisierten prospektiven Studien. Die kontinuierliche Fortführung der Datenerhebung zu kardiovaskulären Erkrankungen in der Schwangerschaft trägt wesentlich zum Erkenntnisgewinn bei. Die Anzahl von Frauen in gebärfähigem Alter mit kardiovaskulärer Vorerkrankung steigt und damit der Bedarf an Beratung und medizinischer Betreuung von Frauen mit Kinderwunsch und Schwangeren mit komplexeren kardiovaskulären Erkrankungen. Dieses Kapitel vermittelt ein Grundverständnis für die häufigsten schwangerschaftsassoziierten kardiovaskulären Erkrankungen und trägt zur Einschätzung des Risikos für kardiovaskuläre Komplikationen und des Sterberisikos von Mutter und heranwachsendem Kind bei.
