Zusammenfassung

Kardiale Tumoren sind selten, können benigne oder maligne sein und als primäre Tumoren oder Metastasen auftreten. In Abhängigkeit ihrer Lokalisation können kardiale Tumoren verschiedenste Symptome verursachen und kardiale Erkrankungen imitieren. Die Echokardiografie hat die wesentlichste Bedeutung bei der primären Diagnostik. Die Prognose benigner Herztumoren ist meist gut, die Prognose maligner kardialer Tumoren hingegen selbst bei chirurgischer Resektion schlecht.
