Zusammenfassung
In Kap. 2 werden der Aufbau verschiedener Käfigtypen und deren Merkmale beschrieben und erklärt, aus welcher Kombination der Käfige die verschiedenen Hydratstrukturen resultieren. Es wird vermittelt, welchen Einfluss das Gastmolekül und insbesondere das Gast-zu-Käfig-Verhältnis auf die Bildung der unterschiedlichen Hydratstrukturen hat. Außerdem wird auf die Ähnlichkeiten und Unterschiede zwischen Eis und Gashydraten eingegangen. In Exkursen werden Grundlagen zu Wasserstoffbrückenbindungen und zur korrekten Bezeichnung von Flüssigkeits- und Gashydraten vermittelt
