Die Dimension der Zellen (20–50 µm) ermöglicht ein schonendes Einfrieren in flüssigem Stickstoff auf –196 °C, die nahezu unbegrenzte Lagerung bei diesen Temperaturen und das jederzeitige Auftauen der Zellen bei Bedarf.
