Zusammenfassung
Je nachdem, in welchem Stadium der Parkinson-Erkrankung der Klient sich befindet, wird die ergotherapeutische Intervention individuell angepasst. Im Frühstadium bei jüngeren motivierten Klienten, ist ein aktives Training von Betätigungen und Körperfunktionen, Aufklärung über die Krankheit und Unterstützung der Krankheitsverarbeitung sinnvoll. Im weiteren Verlauf der Erkrankung (fortgeschrittenes Stadium) verschiebt sich die Therapie in Richtung Kompensation und Adaptation. Im Spätstadium der Erkrankung, wenn der Klient auf maximale Unterstützung angewiesen ist, kann eine Therapie zur Erfüllung der Grundbedürfnisse und Unterstützung von pflegenden Angehörigen adäquat sein.
