Zusammenfassung

Im Diagnostik-Algorithmus einer nichtalkoholischen Fettlebererkrankung (NAFLD) spielt die histomorphologische Gewebeuntersuchung eine wichtige Rolle und ist zurzeit noch der Goldstandard. In diesem Buchkapitel werden die histomorphologischen Kennzeichen einer NAFLD bzw. die einer nichtalkoholischen Steatohepatitis (NASH) beschrieben und mit histologischen Bildern erläutert. Die gängigsten Scoring-Systeme zur Quantifizierung der nekro-inflammatorischen Aktivität werden beschrieben und deren Unterschiede aufgezeigt. Morphologische Unterschiede zur NAFLD bei Kindern und Besonderheiten in der Zellkernmorphologie werden dargestellt.
