Zusammenfassung
Das vorliegende Kap. 7 ist Teil eines Baukastens mit konkreten, pragmatisch anwendbaren Werkzeugen für einen Kulturwandel. Kulturwandel bezeichnet hier den sog. überfachlichen Teil von Change-Prozessen, d. h. eine nachhaltige Veränderung von Verhalten und Einstellungen der Menschen innerhalb einer Organisation. Während in den vorherigen Kapiteln das Vorgehen und die Techniken beschrieben wurden, um Veränderung in der Organisation voranzutreiben, steht hier die Person im Vordergrund. Für eine erfolgreiche Veränderung bedarf es der Bereitschaft und Fähigkeit aller Beteiligten, notwendige Änderungen anzunehmen und mit der damit verbundenen Ungewissheit umzugehen. Es wird die Relevanz der emotionalen Intelligenz (EQ) in Veränderungsprozessen dargestellt im Zusammenhang mit Resilienz und inspirierender Führung. Das Kapitel stellt dar, dass EQ z. B. durch Achtsamkeitstechniken trainierbar ist und wie die eigene kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung durch Veränderung von Gewohnheiten mittels Willenskraft gelingt. Denn: Veränderung beginnt bei sich selbst.
