Zusammenfassung
Die Anwendung der Funktionellen Elektrostimulation (FES) in der Heimtherapie stellt eine Erweiterung der Handlungsfelder für Therapeuten dar. Neue und bedienerfreundliche Geräte unterstützen durch ihren einfachen Einsatz bei der Therapie im häuslichen Umfeld. Vor allem in der Neurorehabilitation stehen die Erhöhung der Trainingsfrequenz sowie eine hohe Selbstwirksamkeitserwartung im Fokus. Das Ermöglichen von evidenzbasiertem Eigentraining in Form der FES verfolgt dieses Ziel.
Für den Transfer der FES in die Heimtherapie und ins Eigentraining können bestimmte Förderfaktoren und Hindernisse definiert werden. Therapeuten können hierbei eine wichtige Verstärkerrolle übernehmen. Durch ein Patientenbeispiel soll das Potenzial eines individualisierten Eigentrainings dargestellt werden.
