Zusammenfassung
Auch bei endokrinologischen Erkrankungen wirkt sich regelmäßige körperliche Aktivität positiv auf das Wohlbefinden und die Therapie aus, vermindert das Risiko von Komorbiditäten und erhöht die gesundheitsbezogene Lebensqualität. Im Folgenden wird auf die zwei häufigsten endokrinologischen Erkrankungen im Kindes- und Jugendalter, den Diabetes mellitus Typ 1 (DMT1) und das Übergewicht/die Adipositas eingegangen. Beim DMT1 kommt es während körperlicher Aktivität bzw. Sport und lange Zeit danach zu weitreichenden Veränderungen im Glukosestoffwechsel. Neben allgemeingültigen Anpassungen der Therapie und der Glukosezufuhr gilt es immer, die Maßnahmen individuell anzupassen. Adipöse Kinder und Jugendliche haben ein erhöhtes Morbiditäts- und Mortalitätsrisiko, sind sportlich meist wenig aktiv und weisen eine geringe körperliche Fitness auf. Primäres Ziel in der sportmedizinischen Beratung sollte sein, den Spaß am Sport zu fördern. Sowohl aerobes als auch Krafttraining können sich positiv auf das Körpergewicht auswirken. Gelenkschonende Sportarten sind besonders zu empfehlen. In der sportmedizinischen Untersuchung ist vor allem auf einen arteriellen Hypertonus, Lungenfunktionsstörungen und Probleme im Stütz- und Halteapparat zu achten.
